One sunny day my mum took me to Mcdonald's for doing my chores. I was excited to go to Mcdonald’s because it’s my favourite place to eat.

When we arrived I was full of happiness I opened the shiny glass door and saw this slide and a DEEP DEEP PIT full of plastic balls. I was not ready to go down because it was deep and I could get stuck but I just took a deep DEEP breath and went down the big long slide AAAAAAAAAAAAA! I screamed I was still falling POOF I landed on a cliff with balls this whole place was full of food and trash where am I then I just realised I was stuck in the pit I was stuck on the cliff HELP PLEASE I echoed then I just saw this humongous lollipop on my cheek, I took it off YUCK.

I didn’t know what I was doing I started climbing I was nearly at the top my foot slipped off I quickly started climbing ahoh a plaster slipped off and went on my face ah get it of me aaaaaah I’m going to fall I grabbed a lollipop that was stuck in the pile of balls I climbed with the lollipop it was easier to climb with I started climbing I’m nearly at the top YAY I’m out of here I looked at the lolipop eww yuck mmmm who cares yum now I’m not scared to go down any more. Let’s go home mum.

Culture show

This term we have been looking at different cultures. For the last three weeks we have been learning a traditional cultural dance. I learnt the sasa.
I felt really nervous doing the sasa in front of every one because that was my first time doing a performance.
But I was proud of my self.

Spencer Park

Success Criteria

I know I will be successful when….

• I use an opening statement that explains the subject of the report.

• The opening statement is followed by sentences that describe the event; what you saw, what you did, how you felt, what you learnt.
• Each paragraph focuses on a different aspect of the topic; travelling, the beach, the lagoon walk, playground.
• A general statement about the topic usually rounds off the report.

Spencer park

On Friday my class and me went to Spencer park and the other classes except the little ones didn’t go to Spencer park. I went in Keri’s car and six other people. When we got to Spencer park we went in our groups. Group 4 went to the playground first. Harmony and I went on the spider web. We only had a little time on the playground because we were going to the beach. When we got to the beach we were going to collect some shells. I found a big hard shell and one that stuck together and Harmony found lots of shells she also collected broken shells. We went and had lunch and made sand castles with Tanisha as well. Harmony put shells on the castle and some of them were huge.

Later we went to see the white birds and the teacher said the white birds have long legs so they can’t drown. I heard a bird tweeting in the tree. All of us went back to the playground and ate. I went on the monkey bars and the flying fox at the end all of the classes went back into our class lines and had fruit and went back in the bus some went in the teachers cars when I got back to class I started playing in the lunch area.

I had fun at Spencer park and a great adventure.

Danger dog

Today I am learning about danger dog. Danger dog is about keeping safe away from dogs that can bite you. Me and my group looked at a dog app to learn about the dog. Don't run because the dog will follow you around and ask the dogs owner if you want to pat the dog because the dog might think that you are being mean to it. Get out of their space because they can bite you. Other dogs can bite you because some don't like strangers. Some are like police dogs who are working.

The present

In the past weeks our class (Ako Ngatahi) were writing a short story about a video titled “The Present”. It was a story about a boy who got a present and it was a puppy. After he discovered that the puppy only had three legs.

The Present

One sunny day I was playing on my PS4 game, Lego Avengers. I shut the blinds so I could see better. When my mum came back from work she came in with a box. Mum opened the blinds and I couldn't see, but I didn’t fail on my game so I kept on playing. Mum said “Start opening the present”.  I said “For me?” and I started smiling. So I opened the box and it was a puppy. I said “Wow!” I felt really happy.  Then I looked at the dog's broken leg and I felt disgusted and threw him on the ground. I felt so mad that mum gave me a puppy with a disabled leg.

The puppy came up to me and I kicked him and shook my head and kept playing. He was upside down and saw a red ball under the cupboard. He ran into the cupboard. Then he tried again and went under and grabbed the ball. He kicked the ball to me and I kicked it away. It went in the box. The puppy ran to the ball and was trapped in the box. I started to like the puppy and thought we could be friends because I had a disabled leg too.

I grabbed the ball and grabbed my crutches and went outside to play ball with the puppy. It’s good to have a friend like me.
